UN Developing a System-Wide Action Plan on Youth

The Plan will affect the way the UN system will work with and for youth in the coming years.  It will focus on five priority areas: employment, entrepreneurship, education (including education on sexual and reproductive health), citizen and protection of rights, and political inclusion.  The UN is seeking input from youth and those working with youth.  Short questionnaire here.

Boy Scouts Leadership Affirms Policy of Excluding 'open or avowed' Gays

The Boys Scouts of America announced Tuesday it has affirmed its policy of "not granting membership to open or avowed homosexuals."  the organization's leaders reached that decision after a nearly two-year evaluation and will take no further action on a resolution that has sought a change in policy.  Read more:
